Manchester City’s midfielder, Rodri, thinks Barcelona’s young star, Lamine Yamal, is likely to win the Ballon d’Or in the future.
He praised Yamal’s incredible talent and potential in an interview with Spanish radio station Cope.
The 17-year-old forward has impressed European football fans this season with his skill and maturity on the field. Rodri believes that Yamal has what it takes to become one of the best players in the world.
“Lamine Yamal will win a Ballon d’Or, for sure. I can’t say if he’ll win more than one; let’s not put too much pressure on him… but he’s special. We felt that from the start. He must keep going, stay humble,” Rodri said.
Yamal’s early performances have caught the attention of both his teammates and opponents. If he keeps progressing, a Ballon d’Or could be within his reach in the years to come.
